Working for bishop

I am trying to earn money so that I can serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  I want to serve for a period of 24 months.  In order to earn a few more dollars I asked my home bishop how best to find a good paying job that I can get a lot of hours at.  Then he told me that I could do some seasonal work at the gas stations that he owns.  The gas stations that I was to work at needed to be swept because of the rocks that accumulated over the winter.  I went to go work my first day and it took me a total of 7 hours to work to get one of the three gas stations swept.  That was not very much fun.  I got blisters on my hands from sweeping so much even though I had work gloves on.  I do not mean to complain because it is not that bad but I do not think anyone enjoys having blisters on their hands.  The wounds dried out and started cracking. This caused them to bleed and it began to be very painful.  But I am okay.

  1. haha I like how you added "But I am okay" in the end as if we were worried whether you'd make it since you have blisters on your hand. It made me laugh:)

  2. That is a noble goal to be able to pay for your mission yourself. Best of luck to you.
